changing our minds: the conversion

catching up: january 17th

here is the laundry room before.

we took out the old closet and re supported the floor underneath

the ugly plaster wall needed to be covered where the closet once was. we borrowed this idea from one of our friends down in beaufort. the world's easiest fix:

roofing on the wall.

and it looks cool!

this is where the washer will go!

the goal:

to rehab this very loved home. our mission, in keeping with our values we strive for in daily life, is to be as "green" as we can. we are not perfect and do not claim to be the best at being "green", but we do try very hard to walk softly on this earth. in renovating our home, we want to keep as much out of the landfill as possible. we want to use recycled products when we can. we want to use earth friendly products when we can. we want to reuse as much as possible. its going to be a challenge. we are going to have to be creative! but i think we are up for it!
