antique store finds

there is one problem with building an entirely new roof, as you "straighten out" the crooked house, sometimes the "old crooked stuff" doesn't fit as well as it did before (eg the wall in our bedroom!).
 on the bright side, we get a new front door!

 but these sidelights are going to look much better!
we found these beauties and the "new" front door at the tobacco barn in asheville. 
this is a good time to bring up an important point:
if thrift stores and flea markets aren't your thing, antiques may be the best form of recycling and repurposing!

 i really like the old feel of the layers of paint, definetely want to maintain some of this look!
