we already know we have to replace the roof.

until now, we have not had access to the attic. here is our home made attic access.

its hard to tell just how much damage has been done to this leaky roof. but we feared it would be much worse than these pictures seem to indicate. during the initial inspections, nick got on the roof. the roof was pretty sketchy in some spots. whole areas of it it were loose and moved! and look! we even have insulation! we are working with a truly amazing local green builder jim demos of demos builders to rehab this roof. we just got news that we have obtained the permit to start roof de and re construction. whew-hoo!
